Not every guardian of the Crimson Grove was born terrifying. While Bloodvine broods in hunger and Confusion Plant weaves nightmares, Sporefang… just kind of hops around. At first glance, he looks like a blundering swamp frog that somehow wandered into a cursed forest. But beneath his goofy grin lies one of the Grove’s strangest defenses.
Sporefang’s body is stuffed with glowing spores that puff out whenever he laughs, sneezes, or trips over his own feet (which is often). Enemies who breathe them in don’t just choke, they stumble, itch, sneeze, and even burst out laughing uncontrollably. Many an invasion has collapsed into chaos, not from terror, but from sheer ridiculousness.
The other Grove guardians tolerate Sporefang’s antics because he gets results. Confusion Plant may twist minds, but Sporefang just needs one silly sneeze to scatter whole armies. Even Bloodvine, ever the grim hunter, begrudgingly admits the frog has his uses.. though he often pretends not to know him.. He definitely is silly for sure though!
