Due to the way that '''Big Mushroom''' alternates between two different attack patterns (1 ground pound <-> 5 shot burst pellets), it does significantly less area splash damage than the displayed information would suggest. Only the ground pound attack does area splash damage, the pellets are all single target. This results in only about 17% of '''Big Mushroom'''<nowiki/>'s total damage output being splash-able damage. Other towers like '''Juggercorn''', '''Ballistic Banana''', or '''Mango Cluster''' does aoe splash damage on every hit, resulting in 100% of their damage being splash-able.
Additionally, both attack patterns take the same amount of time, at 1.5 seconds each, resulting in a total of 6 hits every 3 seconds. This is why the displayed "DPS" on its info card shows 2500 (2 x 1250 per second).
