Editing Guidelines

Please follow these guidelines to keep the wiki professional, accurate, and easy to read:

Note: This Editing Guidelines are inspired by Adopt me Wiki Guidelines and Grow a Garden Wiki!

  • All information must be confirmed by one or more of the following credible sources:
  • The wiki must reflect the current state of the game. Rumors or unconfirmed content should not be added.
    • Exception: Unreleased content may be added only if it is confirmed by one of the credible sources listed above.
  • Follow standard English writing rules — use proper capitalization, avoid first-person, limit second-person, and maintain a formal tone.
  • Do not add unnecessary categories to pages.
    • Only use existing categories when possible.
  • Fix red links.
    • Red links are broken links that lead to non-existent pages. Update or remove them to maintain navigation quality.
  • Ensure all text is grammatically correct — check spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure.
  • All item names must match their in-game names and be properly capitalized.
    • Proper nouns refer to specific names, places, or groups.
    • Example: That is a tower. This tower is called the Tomato Plant.
    • In this example, Tomato Plant is capitalized because it is the specific name of the tower, while “tower” is not a proper noun and is not capitalized unless it begins a sentence.
  • The first occurrence of the page's subject must be bold. All later mentions should be in normal text.
    • Example: The Beehive is a godly tower in Garden Tower Defense. The Beehive is yellow and has bees around it.
  • Avoid multiple rapid edits to the same page.
    • Use the Show Preview button to check your work before saving changes.
  • Write in complete, correctly spelled, and grammatically correct sentences.
    • Pay attention to homophones, subject-verb agreement, and correct use of compound adjectives.
  • Always add an accurate edit summary.
    • Clearly explain what was added, removed, or changed so other editors understand your contribution.
