Editing Guidelines

Please adhere to these guidelines in order to keep the wiki professional and clean:

  • All information shall be confirmed from ANY of the following credible sources:
  • The wiki shall reflect the current state of the game. Rumors or unreleased content shall not be used or published on the wiki.
    • Exception: Unreleased content can be published ONLY IF the information is confirmed by one of the credible sources listed.
    • Follow EnglishFormality Rules (e.g., Proper capitalization, no use of first-person, limit the use of second-person, etc.)
  • Do not add unnecessary categories to pages. It's strongly recommended to only add articles to existing categories!
  • Fix red links.
    • Red links are links that are addressed are redirects but are redirected to a page that does not exist.
  • Make sure that everything is grammatically correct and that spelling and punctuation are accurate.
  • Make sure all item names are in-game names and are properly capitalized.

Proper nouns refer to specific names, places, or groups.

    • Example: That is a tower. This tower is called the Tomato Plant.
      • In this example, "Tomato Plant" is the specific name of the tower, so it is capitalized. The word tower simply describes what it is and is therefore not a proper noun and not capitalized unless it starts a sentence.
  • The first occurrence of the page's subject must be bold. All subsequent occurrences shall be normal text.
    • e.g., The Beehive is a godly is a godly tower in Garden Tower Defense. The Beehive is yellow and has bees around them. . [...]
  • Do not edit the same page multiple times in a row in a short amount of time.
    • Use Show Preview" feature to preview edit before publishing edit.
  • Write correctly-spelled grammatical full sentences.
    • Watch out for those homophones, subject-verb agreement issues, and compound adjectives.
  • Add a summary to every edit made, truthfully. It is courteous to let others know what you added, removed, or modified.
If you are not sure about how to fix something, notify a Content Moderator or Administrator.
